About the event
Did you know that people have been shearing sheep for around 5,000 years, with the practice coinciding with the discovery of how to spin wool into yarn for clothing and other uses, around 3500 BC?
David Fletcher of Fletcher's Pride Farm will be shearing our sheep and explaining more about this age-old process on Friday, March 28th. Watch as we shear 3 different breeds of sheep, learn about the processing of wool including hands-on activities like feeling newly sheared wool, carding of the wool &
make a sheep craft using real wool yarn.
Take home a little bag of wool with instructions on how to make a wool dryer ball, your completed sheep craft and an activity page to remember the day!
**we have edited the tickets from a family fee to a participating child fee. Parents and caregivers are free as well as younger children who will not beโฆ
