About the event
Curious about sourdough baking but not sure where to start? Join us in the kitchen for a workshop that simplifies the basics of sourdough bread. In this 2.5-hour class, you’ll learn the foundational techniques for making your own sourdough at home—from maintaining a starter to mixing, shaping, and scoring a beautiful loaf.
Julie will walk through each step of the process, with plenty of time for questions. You’ll learn how to care for a sourdough starter, mix and fold dough, and observe each step in the process, culminating in sampling the loaf that we make during the class. While we won’t be taking home our own loaves, you’ll leave with a portion of active sourdough starter, detailed instructions, and a beginner-friendly recipe so you can confidently start baking at home.
Perfect for beginners, this class is approachable, relaxed, and full of practical tips to make sourdough less intimidating and more…
